Removing rear tyre for my Honda Today 50?

hi everyone,

please please help me here, i am a bit deperate now and need to get my scooter back on running asap

i have a honda today, and my rare tyre is flat.
so i am trying to get my rare tyre off to a shop to repair it as it's just too hard to get it there.
i have remove my exhaust and now on the bit of the tyre itself. having the issue here is to take the screw off from the tyre. trying the 24cm wrench fits in. but it is impossible to get it losen! pushing the wrench down to try to lose this and just ever work!

please help! am i doing this wrong? is it not the place to get the tyre off? or it was just hard to get it off and any ways to make it happen?

Seriously though, you want a socket set and use the breaker bar. You will be surprised how easy it is compared to a wrench. Failing that, throw a bit of pipe over the wrench to get more leverage. Failing that, cover it in gas and set it on fire.

Search youtube for visual demos.

Remember clockwise to tighten, anti clockwise to undo.

I'm sure a scooter wouldn't..... But check there is no wire going through the nut/bolt. If so remove it.

As above, use a BBQ lighter or preferably a butane burner to get some heat on the nut and try again.

Or buy a can of penetrating oil from Repco. Spray that at the thread, could help loosen it. Don't try oil then heat with a flame, some stuff is very flammable.

thanks for the reply. have checked and there was no wires. tried to search on youtube but there was no videos on this specific scooter and so i am worried i am doing it wrong.

i have pushed it anti-clockwise trying to do it and the nut is just not moving. putting some oil on already but still not going. might have to try to put a bit of heat there.

will try again next time really do hope it was too tight not doing it wrong though, thanks

Either heat if you have a heat gun, or CRC the nut and leave for a few minutes. Being a wheel, it's probably on pretty good. Just remember to tighten it after putting it on, that much (ideally, find the torque specified and torque it).

As said, use a torque extender, basically, a bar off the end of the wrench to give you better leverage. Best to have the wrench parallel to the ground and then push downward.
