Maybe so but it is NOT what the rule actually says. What you have done is interpreted the rule. Maybe you are correct. Others may interpret it differently. Maybe they are correct. A properly written rule should not be open to different interpretations.

No, I'm clarifying the rule for Pumba.

Some how he has read:

"Machines where swingarm shape or positioning prevents fitment are excepted (for example Yamaha R1)"

as:

"... if it too hard don't worry about it you don't have to do it ..."

The former should not be interpreted as the latter, unless you're mental, which is quite possible, road racing draws folk from all walks of life.

I don't think this is a rule that needs much clarification at this stage, I certainly wouldn't be too up in arms about it. There are rules that need more attention than this one.
