    Starter button just stopped?

My starter button has never had any issues since i bought my bike a few months ago. I went out on a cold rainy night, then next time i tried to start it...nothing.

Is this common? Hard to fix?

    thanks

Have you got a kill switch? Have you made sure it is in the start position? Is you battery flat? Do your lights work? Got any buds?

Got a multimeter to see what the voltage is reading when off / running?

Can also use it to test the switch, although pulling the plug out and jumping the pins would work too

Starter motor died on an old GB400 I had. After that happened I just used to kick start it, maybe you should too

Aliens are (usually) thought of as intelligent life forms ... I'm not sure you qualify ...

The start button contact points will probably just need a clean. The recess where they are located on the bars is a favorite hidy-hole for spiders (and moisture) ... A few minutes with a Phillips screwdriver will reveal the problem.

I'm rich ... who would have thunk it .. ??

I have had this problem with the start button on a few bikes I've had. Once it was the starter solenoid that needed replacing though.
