    That is really awesome news.

What's the chance of teeing up a race day on the day after the Greymouth 25th anniversary (Labour day 27th October)? nudge, nudge , wink wink...

We would be meandering back up the island, and I'm sure the GPR boys would love an excuse to come visit!

That would be epic but prob a bit early in the relationship with the kart boys
We will also have strict noise limits, road legal silencers have been ok but any "race" pipes are much harder
I'll be at grey mouth tho and in the past we have had a run at the grey mouth kart track. Pretty flexible on the coast so it might be a possibility

Used to do the Saturday before scrutineering for Greymouth at the Coal creek Kart track, made for a good weekends racing, might have even been some Buckets doing Otira at some stage

it could be possible ask the kart guys are on to the bike using the track last time I talked to them.

There are generally not the numbers of locals for it to keep going.

    sorry you meant nelson ...doh

Don't forget three signatures before you can do a street circuit...leaving the 3rd till BoB would possibly be a tad late too.

Please do weld husa's motor in while you're there, pretty obvious now he won't....

yeah, three roadrace meetings in the 12 months prior to a street circuit.

I (and I'd imagine most of the SI bucket guys) think it would be nice of you to sort his bike too....no one else is going to do it.....

    Good job Paul,

Next one is to get on side with the Port Nelson Street Race organisers and get Buckets back in there.

    Cheers

They had some odd ideas when I last raced there and wouldn't let us practice with the F3 guys despite being entered in F3. They then started us off the back of F3 in the races, expecting that we'd be holding them up, slow buckets and all that. They got shown good and proper.

I understand there's a bit of history with buckets there, a bit of a tongue in cheek request really.
I know what it's like when you have a full programme and don't want to cut one thing to fit another in.
We get asked every year to run Pre89, but what do you do when you get good numbers in what's already there?

You tell them to fuck off until there's a gap in the program which needs filling, which most likely wont ever happen

People always want a class to run the bikes they have in rather than building bikes to race in the classes available

One of the Nelson committee said a couple of years ago they'd do their best to get buckets back on the program and that was the last anyone heard anything about it

Compared to Greymouth Nelson was poorly run with big delays the times I raced there
