    Xmas has arrived.

Having trouble with the brake lines though. I might need get one made up. The line goes into the caliper directly but I need a stock banjo head at the other end to take a rear switch.

    Almost

Have the bike together and running.
Powder coated rims Gloss Black came up very well.
New BT45 tyres 100/90/18 and 140/80/17 fit on the rims well.
Need to remove bake brake caliper and muffler to install GRR.

Master cylinder may need a Total refurbishment.
Work well but when you let them off they go to zero pressure until pumped up.
    Any ideas guys??

    To do list is.
    # Back brake pressure switch.
    # Paint job.
    # Install BMW emblems on tank.
    # Seat pad.
    # Front brakes to sort.

Then its new plate and WOF and rego.

I would like it but I cant even afford a paint job. Next year is possible if you still have it and the price is good for me but makes you cry.

I don't understand, you can't finish a project bike in 3 months, it's against the rules. Pretty sure the mandatory minimum duration before it's allowed to run is at least 4 years, for 3 of those it must be neglected under a tarp in the corner of the shed.

But in all seriousness, very cool bike. Can't wait to see it painted.

Thanks but could be a while yet.
Got the brakes working and discs lined up but the master(13mm) is to small to run the 4 pot brembos with good bite.
The alternatives are a r100r 15mm unit that involve a straight swap or change to a 20mm k1100 unit which involves new throttle grip and modifying a k1100 throttle cable at the injector end and also the bracket at that end.

Might be going the new r100r way.

I would have thought a 20mm would make for a rock hard lever with very little feel

Ducati and MotoGuzzi also use 15mm Brembo m/c on various bikes

The brembo brakes on my bike are from a k1100lt with adapters for the mounts. Maybe the stroke is shorter.
The k100 and K1100 both have the same switch block and wiring so my electrics go straight on. Anything else requires a full control rewire. My bike has the twin indicator switch system (left on left side rt on rt) with a reset button on the rt hand side.

The twin disc r80 and r100 have the same set up as my bike (throttle etc) with a large version of the master cylinder housing. These bolt straight on and people use them for this conversion with success but they are rare unless new.
$470 for new locally or $258 ex usa.

Basically 2 options k1100 complete set up less switch or master upgrade to 15mm.

K1100 is apparently the better option but the throttle system is different and the amount of parts required doesn't stop until the throttle cable plus injector cable mount requires modified also.

I have decided ill do the r100r 15mm conversion with new unit instead of the k1100 complete system and throttle alterations.

The only second hand k1100 unit I can find is $180 plus freight. Risk - it needs rebuild or soon will
The new r100r unit that runs 2 4 pot brembos also is $258 usd including freight. Pro - Its new.
