    WTB: 1970s SR500, XS650

As titled am keen on finding a nice old' sr500 or xs650, pref late 70s
drum front would be the icing on the cake..

Have cash, depending on what is on offer have room to move on price too.. Anyone got anything?

It'd have to be an XS1 to get a drum front brake on an XS650. Personally I prefer the XS1 (had one for 15 years) but the later model ones handled better. I hope you are not going to bob, cafe, chop or tracker it - although a streettracker XS650 is the better option.

It's a shame when a bike becomes trendy - the XS650 went from a $150 ride it home parts bike to a $3500 restoration project. I want another XS650 to complete a project, but I'm not paying the sort of prices they want for them now.

Got nothing to do with them being trendy, always like them and they're a good platform to make some changes,
as is an SR or W650... Don'c really care that they cost more noe than they did, it's like many things,
old beetles, c50's etc.... could pick all that stuff up for next to nothing years ago, now they all have a higher $$$
