I had a blast firing guns at a Vegas range. Tried the Al Capone era tommy gun and a larger military machine gun. It was hard to believe in a few seconds 50 rounds had gone. So addictive, every child should get one for Christmas.

What surprised me was there was no sudden recoil, just a smooth constant, but gentle-ish upward pressure. Once you balanced your own level of resistance to this upward pressure it was all too easy.

But why on earth would you want to, or even let, a small 9 year child use one? Dumbest parents, even dumber Instructor to allow it and not foresee the obvious outcome.

I liked the comment in today's Herald from some anti-gun/pro-safety Yank that they have better safety regulations on who can ride a roller coaster than for guns.
