Where sells avgas in Auckland?
I've been told about the shell/Z near waikaraka park and also the challenge in Pukekohe. Kumeu BP and Ardmore airport came up too but that was from Internet forums posts back in 2007
Anywhere else? Much price variance?

I got most of that information from very old internet posts. There's a good chance things have changed since then so trying to learn more about them and where's best.

Yeah, great stuff if your engine is sitting at 3000 RPM for hours on end.......

Can be good stuff if you mix it with pump gas. Although the majority of engines lose power running on AvGas.

It's for my postie bike...... cough.
No it's actually for the Honda RS125 which has a VHM head and has been set up for avgas.

I called Helitranz on Rosedale Road (closer to me than Ardmore) and they have a mini tanker that they use for their Helicopters and sell from. The person on the phone said to just check how much they had available at the time and to make sure there was someone around to work the pump before coming. When I'm there I'll check how often they cycle through the tanks to gauge on the quality.

As at 03/09/14, $2.40 a litre + GST ($2.76). A lot better than some of the prices I've heard.
