    Way back when riders had leather and not much else to protect em
    When "air fence" was unheard of and life was simpler.

    hey folks--this is a bit of light hearted fun. The reference was to waay back when I first started racing in the 1980's -the Manukau mall racing and hamilton street cuircuit comes to mind.
    No disrespect to events in recent years intended.
