I ride to uni every day, I just took an old pair of shoes and left it in our study room, you could get a locker. I wear my full gear with boots every day and just swap into the shoes when I get to uni.
I've also got a 1 size larger pair of waterproof textile pants so I can wear them over my day-to-day jeans.
Literally slip out of them and put my shoes on and I'm ready for my day.

If you've seen some pictures on Reddit /R/Motorcycles, you'll know why it's best to always wear boots and all your gear all the damn time.

Here's an example, you see one or two a week:

Going about 70km/h, back wheel slipped and went sideways. I slided about 15-20 meters and than hit a hangar gate so I'm actually quite lucky.

Even the shittiest backpacks these days have a strap you can lace the shoes around to carry them to uni/wherever else and back.
Those shoes you linked look great, leather etc. But really, twisting your ankle is bad enough, imagine worse. Plus good boots are waterproof.

    suggestion for OP.

I have a pair and they are brilliant. proper motorcycle boots with maloleus protection and all day comfort. leather, waterproof-ish (though YMMV and they are a laceup....)

I got mine out of the UK (Urban Rider maybe)

but Revzilla have them too as you see. You can get Stylmartin in UnZud but not this model: they do have the shorter one.

    I use these: http://www.rjays.com.au/home/product...ace-boots.html

They're pretty cheap ($150ish IIRC), and are reasonably rigid in the ankle. Full leather, and supposedly waterproof. They are lace up but the tongue is connected all the way up.

They're not the best casual boots you'll find, but they're good value for money IMO.
