Young fulla, New to the forums. (Sushi Bandit)

    Hello all

Ive just bought my first big bike. A 99 bandit 1200. The previous owner has fitted the bike with GSXR suspension and brakes and a dan moto exhaust. I live in Auckland and enjoy putting a fair few K's on my bikes. If anyone knows of any groups of riders or a good club to join id be interested in hearing about it. Cheers.

Bandits are a damn good bike... lots of useable power....
There's likely to be several groups/peeps for rides. If its a relatively new bike and a BIG one (which it is) take a bit of time to aquaint yourself fully with its capabilities and your 'limits', before you start doing fast group rides.

Enjoy, they are one of the best bikes for all round capability.

Cheers Guys. And I agree with you completely GrayWolf. I'm not anywhere near used to the bike yet. I plan to get used to it and a bit more by myself and then tag along on a couple of rides.

Nice Bike, missing mine. GSXR rear shock helps them a lot.

Serch for the Nass and Sass threads for learning rides on week nights.

I can post up a video of the Dan Moto if you'd like mate. Id say itd sound fairly different on a 919 however. The previous owner said he sometimes wore earplugs on long rides. It also sets off car alarms in the work car park.

Also, I do have plans to change the look of the bike a bit. She'll be getting bar end mirrors and new pillion pegs this weekend as well as a new rear tyre in the near future. Im also looking for a tail tidy and possibly a new fairing, (i kinda like the retroish one its already got). If you guys know of any nice bits for these older bandits feel free to link them.

I use this one a lot. Very quick to get the parts into your letterbox - normally seven days. Because it is extra to ship parts from the UK to Godzone expect them to contact you before they confirm the order..
