    Nice day at the Rally!

Had a great day at the rally, met a lot of KB'rs and they were all very friendly people and easy to talk to.

Met up with a lot of old friends from all over actually.

Had a fantastic ride home but sad to say they have tar sealed the road from Dog kennel corner (Burkes Pass) to the Haka pass turnoff! That was a good piece of fast gravel. I guess I am just an old Luddite at heart, damn progress! :slap:

It was really nice to meet you all, hope to keep on meeting more of you too. Cheers, John.

Maybe when a Harley can out do the chainsaw on the road Mind you they're pretty similar bikes - makes lots of noise and don't get anywhere in a hurry.

Well, great to catch up with all you KBers, nice to put faces to names, nice to see no arseholes among them too!
Would have been nice to catch up with Sniper (get a gps boy and learn to use it) Biff (where woz ya?) and onearmed bandit etc....
The night was too short to really catch up with y'all but NEXT time eh?

As CB mentioned, we spent the night at Omarama (pub owner let us use his gargre to store the Sporty) and headed off this morning as it started raining, first exitement came when after crossing the Lindis Saddle C.B. started furiously bashing my shoulder and then yelled "the bags have gone, they're not there!"

A quick look showed her to be half right - they were hanging behind the rear wheel with the straps still attached and against the rear tyre and a hole worn in our (was) waterproof bag!! Dang, still dunno HOW things came loose!

Carried on to Cromwell, had lunch and then headed for home -but second exitemnt on the trip was when C.B tried to kill us both by trying to 'adjust' my helmet while on the move and without warning - and COMPLETELY covering my eyes (she has previous for this type of thing) argh!! my pulse was just settling down when the 3rd exitement happened and I tried to kill us both by going into a skid while going round a bend a bit quick a few km from home, must have been some mud left by a cockie or something.

Never mind, home and safe and had fun, met great people!

(Good rally pics posted, well done all the contributing photographers!!)

I know, I know - I'm a soft cock. But as I'm not here from this weekend, possibly until crimbo eve, I thought it best to beat my kids all weekend lest they forget about me.

As much as I would liked to have drunk piss and talk shite at the rallye, I chose to do it at home instead.

    Next time...

    Glad y'all enjoyed.
