Had a great weekend, met all the KBers previously mentioned and I might add not as dodgy as they would have us believe or are made out to be.

The weather was great (typical SI), sun hot, lots of sunburn, Dangerous' shoulders look real mean on Sunday.

Looking forward to doing it all over again at Glenorchy.

Oh, almost forgot to post about the incident when the 'Glowing Big Red Eye of Doom' reared its ugly head.

En route to the Magpie, stopping the night in Dunedin at the Hollowman Hacienda.
Got to Forbury Road ( about 2km from above address) and on it came, glowing like an atomic explosion (and reeking of $$$ down the tube).
Stopped, checked oil level/temperature and listened for mechanical moise. All o.k.
Fired up and headed off to Hollowman Hacienda with crossed fingers and a weight on my heart but noticed the light went out if the revs went over 2,000 so kept revs above that.
Next morning while the oil was still cold and thick I set off for McIver and Vietch (H-D dealers) about 3km away.
Short story: fitted new switch and all was bliss as per postings re the Magpie.

Footnote: this is the THIRD switch I've fitted to the Sporty - they say this is the model that replaces the other faulty esign ones - we'll see!! (others just stopped working all together)

Why does this thread (may be others) frequently NOT show up in the New Posts section - despite the fact there HAS been recent postings, does anybody else have this problem??
