    Oil injection pumps?

Hey, does anyone know if it is all right just to bypass a oil injection pump for a 2 stroke?

Depends on the set up, some will need drillings altered as they are set up for direct feed, others are just fine as they just inject oil into the intake.

I had a look at it, they is one line that goes under the flywheel and another one that goes to a bolt by the intake for the air and petrol. This is one a Suzuki a100.

Short answer is No .... the A100 crank is like all the early Suzuki's where oil was injected to the outer main brg and collected by a slinger and passed to the big end.

To remove the oil pump you would need to get oil to the main brg some other way, ie drill a drain hole in the bottom of the transfer duct like other 2Ts have.

And also the rod would probably need changing to one with an oiling slot in the big end.

Old racing TR250 R and TR500 R Suzuki's had the same arrangement as the A100, they kept the oil pump and oil line to feed the main/big end brgs and wired the pump 30% open and ran 20:1 pre mix in the fuel.

Ok then, thanks. One more thing, how would I test the pump?
