Little? Couldn't handle economics 101 and certainly isn't capable of being a "leader", even of his own party.
Lunatic Fringe? They are currently having an "X-Fuckwit" co-leader competition. Going by the recent debate amongst them... Personally I'd be happy to see the winner in charge of the Composting Toilet Portfolio" and absolutely nothing above that position.
Maori Party? Who?
NZ First? Winnie (certainly could handle the role).
Can't remember if there are any other parties. So a good old fashioned "no" is the answer. National has the helm for the foreseeable future.

It's a job with damned fine career benefits... who wouldn't wanna take advantage of that? Even better when one of the benefits is the ability to direct your own spy agency, army, police force and to a large degree (that I'm still embarassed about given that I'm supposedly the same species) and entire population of zombies.
