So you blame high income earners for benefit fraud?

Isn't that who we want? You're not making a good argument not to reduce pay

I don't mind paying taxes for some people to just get by in a world that does not provide enough jobs for the population, irrespective of how they live their lives. Ya get what ya pay for.

As many as possible. Screw the consequences. Triffic solution man.
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

And if wishes were fishes the children would be well fed already. Good intentions are not enough qualification to manage a country in today's complex world.

    But being money hungry is???
I'm not getting how this works given those there now are far from qualified for the positions they hold. If your motivation is personal financial interest you're qualified, but if your motivation is NZ & it's people you're not? ...Seems a bit backwards to me

This has all been covered on the news. Andrew Little told the Labour voters to vote for Winston - sort of. It wasn't the finest piece of straight talking but that was the gist.

Tax avoidance is legal. Tax evasion is not. "Legal tax evasion" is an oxymoron.

Pay peanuts and you'll get monkeys. I know the current crop might not look much better at times, but the nature of their job is to be criticised for anything, and never praised; it'd be a hell of a lot worse if monkeys were doing it.

Being money hungry is not a qualification. But, those who are qualified should be paid a commensurate amount, otherwise they would just find other employ. Might seem backwards to you, but just think of mashy, all keen to make a difference through forcing other's to his own ideal; he even beleives it will work, but since he is too stupid to realise it won't, putting him in charge would be one of the worst things that could happen.
