I'd be checking the idle adjuster.
Then checking the vacuum line to the fuel tap is on and connected to the vacuum port on the intake runner

How did you clean the carbs? Did you twiddle any of the screws?

you fucked it daryl. You dont deserve an rgv. Give it to me.

    Open bowl drains. Fuel?

Bench sync you carbs, air pilots etc.
Get a coat hanger and bend it so you can stab at your jets with it.
Which ghetto do you live in. Masterton? Im sure theres someone close at hand who knows something. Being in the ghetto you can probably pay them in codys and weed.

What i have found is both the lines going from the fuel tap are going to the right places (i think) and there is a nipple under the tank that hasn't got anything plugged to it, should there be something there? the hose going from the top of the airbox is going to the carbs? does this sound right?

Is the nipple (giggity) on the tank the same colour as the tank, or a seperate fitting? If it's the same colour it's your overflow tube, hook a pipe to it that dumps to the ground. But won't effect your idle etc
Yup hose that goes over air box is called the carb bowl vent

Haha okay yes its the same colour, I'm pretty sure the other two tubes coming from the fuel tap are connect properly, i really don't know why it wouldnt be getting fuel

One line will be small, the other will be a 3/8 ish size? Pretty hard to muddle them up. But small one goes to the intake between carbs and head.

Have you tried dropping the fuel in the bowls once it stalls?
What have you set your float heights to?
Where are your idle mixture/pilot screws set to?

The bike won't even start with choke now, i haven't touched floats or idle screws so i'm assuming they are at factory spec?

Pull the spark plugs, see if they're dry or wet. Then check for spark again
Open a fuel bowl drain and check for fuel

    ^ This.

Divide the problem, finding out if the bowls have fuel (and decent flow) or not tells you a lot about where to look next.

Also, if your tap has a prime position try that.

Well the problem seems to have fixed its self. I put it on prime and it managed to idle and warm up. Took it for a ride and its running mint even redlines with no hesistation now! Thanks for your help guys

Get a new tap assy or a recondition kit.
You will be running on restricted fuel flow into the carbs.
You will be riding up a hill , on the motorway or passing a truck with motor working hard and it will conk out due to empting the carb bowls or worse it will run extreme lean and blow up instead.

Or the 2 hoses are around the wrong way maybe.

So buy a new tap that bolts on the tank? Do you think that was the problem the whole time?
