Aren't most parts of the world backwater shitholes in one way or another..? From my experience of NZ, it seems the least backwatery shitholery.. Better than where I've been in the US and UK (with the possible exception of The IoM). Hence why I'm planning on leaving my little backwater shithole over the next few years to move Kiwi-side.. It's just better xD

Not in that specific set of circumstances. She has mainly made her money from being a member of a family famous for being famous.
The same family that moved Banksy to paint, "Stop making stupid people famous"?

That Palo Alto Kiwi is a whole nutha matter. Hadn't read about her before.

I've heard good things about your "backwater shithole", great riding roads, 1 cop apparently.

    Don't move to Auckland....its broken.

( unless of course you view $1000 000 for house where you are only stuck in traffic for 30 minutes each way or $700 000 and drive for an hour plus...that's driving as in 1 and 2 gear.
You could of course ride a motorcycle but Darwin has given everyone smart phones to raise his game.

Dude, Hobart's not so very far behind, if a few more of them had jobs the commute over there would be just as fucked, and at least you don't have to worry about fucking wobblys hurtling through your windscreen twice a month.

Shockingly, every desirable city on the planet anywhere near the size of Orks has the same problem. If you don't find it all that attractive move somewhere else.

Dude....its rant and rave. I have a 15-20 minute commute and great job.
Once my drafty old Bungalow gets to 1.5 M might look at moving.
Some days I drive, others catch the train, if its sunny I take the bike.

Used to go for regular Sunday rides South but that roadworks on the Southern these days..... North is better now as road works are all done...and more gravel roads too.

Roadworks are only short term, but still won’t be enough, another lane is required, cheap enough really to do it now. But na, we will do it later.

i have another date with cape reianga some time soon.

south still better apart from the fog

To be fair, the worst days commuting in Auckland still have a much better ambience compared to most other places in the world.

Have you actually commuted in many other places in the world? Or just googled about it?

Well, for example - on my Commute, I get lovely Sea Views, nice green fields - even the oxygenation lake looks nice.

Better than a slog on the M25 to London, or LA's concrete Jungle.

If I wanted, I could take the ferry to work and my commute would consist of watching Dolphins frolic in the Seas.

Granted, I've not been to every single metropolised area in the world - but for me - Auckland isn't too bad.
