    Suzuki GSX1100 EFG 1986

Last of the air-cooled GSX series. 1135 cc of old-school Suzuki air-cooled goodness.

Currently well below the $2000 mark.

Say you have another bike also.
You should be keeping that bike.

Too old and knackered (me that is). Thinking along the lines of a DR650 or old airhead Beemer. (Pipe and slippers time...)

    Hi John.
    Sorry about that.
Can't buy a Duc. It is red and you know how I like to blend in with the background.

Your Suzuki looks good ( for a fat porky 80's bike)
Would strip down to 200k's to take classic racing...
Get a BMW R80GS, get your slippers muddy

The road to Mangamarie is great - apart from the traffic... I like the road from just north of Pahiatua to Pongaroa. From there any road is fun.

Might need a drill for that.

I admit that I do like the look of the R80/100 GS. They are shooting up in price though, and with my dirt skills I am more likely to get muddy elbows than slippers.

There's a hell of a lot of good roads around there, I used to go Eke-alfreton, up to Pahiata via Tirumea and over the track as my daily commtue (even though I was slightly north of Eke on the highway...)
99% of the roads out to and from Pongoroa are magic
