Did you read the article? The only increase in costs to current WoF inspectors is an additional 95c per label. So thats definitely gonna put the price up a shitload right?
    Yeah, nah.

So cars older than 2000 should be charged less since they have to get warrants twice a year? wouldnt that be nice

Be grateful for a WOF/annual inspection. At least 40% of vehicles here wouldn't be considered roadworthy in NZ.

Yes other countries can be sketchy but as they showed on Fair go this week, vehicles here get a warrant if theyre road worthy or not. Cheers VTNZ

Yeah I did, some whinger said he'd be putting prices up by $25 for no real reason. Prices to become a WoF testing place have gone up, who cares? That's hardly gonna affect everyone already in the game!
    Yeah, nah.

Were they actual safety issues? or Fair Go pedantry?

I don't care if I pay more for yearly ones - they are a pain in the arse so once a year suits me.

Got one on the bike 2 weeks ago $40. Fuck all gets checked.

By the book the last 10 (at least) warrants I've got should have failed. The book is a crock of shit, just like that fair go story. I mean FFS, if it was a safety issue their tester, their driver, and their company should be taken to court for knowingly driving or encouraging driving of a dangerously roadworthy vehicle (as I saw no truck loading/unloading that car at the testing station).
