Hey guys, i've got a friend that wants me to taker her for a ride on sunday afternoon, not really sure where we'll go but i thought out to port waikato or something?

Not to keen to race two up but if anyone wants to come along it would be cool to get a group together.

for a girl, the best route would be Auckland - Manukau heights - Clevedon - Kawakawa - Kaiaua
Stop for a fish'n'chips meal, and sit by the beach to admire the view (provided it is not a crappy weather)
Then proceed to go back the same way if you want leisure ride, or through Hunua if she insists on having a more interesting ride.

Auckland-Kaiaua has a decent-paced route for leisurely ride without being too sporty or boring either, perfect for 2-up couples.



(If you are by yourself, SH22 is a perfect sporting option )

Hey Damon, a group of us went out to Port Waikato a couple of weeks ago. Excellent ride, good twisties plus a few nice straights to open it up. Got some fish and chips at the takeaway and went down to the beach to enjoy.

Just don't do what my mate did a few years ago. Had his girlfriend pillon for the first time and tried to show off a bit down at the beach carpark. Hit the soft sand, lost it and dropped the bike and girlfriend in front of heaps of people! Needless to say the relationship went downhill after that!
