I reckon VR was watching lap times to see what would happen if he stayed out another lap

I agree, but he obviuosly did not as he could not take into account what other lower level riders were doing. Simply a case of good luck ( Redding) and good management till the end by BS. And brilliant management planning by MM and his HRC team.

In the past lapped riders have interferred with race leaders to the advantage of their fellow countryman or team mate. As soon as a lapped rider starts to mix it they should be black flagged IMHO, and in the opinion of Race Direction in this instance.

And on Rossi staying out too long, yes he has history in this regard, but he was in front of Lorenzo and he wanted to stay there so he stayed out. Once Lorenzo came in he could come in too but by then it was too late.

Like us all, Drew has opinion, just that in some cases ( Like me) he has not thought it through 100% before letting his fingers do the talking

Rossi had a 1.5 to 2 sec lead on the road on wets. The guys on slicks we're doing 9 to 10 secs a lap quicker. If he'd led Lorenzo into the pits he'd have maintained that gap. Letting Lorenzo have an extra lap on slicks was a massive cock up and should have cost him the place.... if Jorge hadn't got over enthusiaistic....

That's Pit Stop racing I guess. The ride of his life.

His earlier fuck up was also taken into account with the black flag I think. He was not interfering with anyone else's race. He stayed out and pushed for the purpose of seeing if he'd have been a contender for the lead, and fucken would have. The black flag was pointless and made no difference to anyone. Shit, the other two guys should have let him by and got a tow.

Fuck off cunt. The last thing I need or want, is your bullshit analysis of my behaviour. I meant exactly what I said, so stick your theories back up your area where ya got 'em from.

Hasn't Petrucci gone well in the wet? He is now ahead of people like Pol and Crutchless in the standings.

    JL having another crash etc.
MM is 63 points behind Rossi with five races to go. If Mm wins every race and Rossi finished 3rd each time MM would only close the gap by 45 points.
If JL wins any of the remaining races MM would close by less than 45. Realistically for MM to threaten there needs to be an injury or other DNF to one, or both of the Yamaha riders.

Next race is Aragon in two weeks time but then, starting 11 October, there are three races in three weeks: Motegi, Phillip Island and Sepang. If anybody gets injured in Japan it's possible all three races will have been run before they can recover and that could change things dramatically.

We should, however, have a better idea after Valencia.

Absolutely. I suspect both Lorenzo and Rossi are actually struggling under the pressure... though it's hard to see. Look out for Marquez

    Rossi did a good job.

Harris and Co a pain in the arse as usual ,mute button.
Yep, Job No1, finish in front of hoorhay - and try to repeat irrespective of position till end of season.

Oh FFS he gifted the battle to Lorenzo by staying out an extra lap only for Lorenzo to gift it straight back by throwing it down the road. It was a Yamaha comedy of errors. The pit crews were practically grovelling on the track begging those twats to pit. Holy mother of God he got beaten by Loris Baz.

The factory Yamaha 'winglets' actually looked more like intake air direction strakes/fences than the aero-foil type side mount items Ducati have..

They seem to be in a more effective place though. Closer to the clean air like.
