    zxr250A parts

Hey, I am new to this forum.
I am doing some work on my zxr250 to get it ready for summer. First off I need a starter motor, have emailed a few wreckers but no body is getting back to me. Am doing chain and sprockets aswell, got a price for genuine Kawasaki set from red barron but wondering whether I am better to go for aftermarket stuff? if so what brand and where from? Am also doing fork seals and oil, does anybody have the service information for the grade and measurement of oil to use?
    Any help appreciated, cheers!!

From memory fork oil level is 92mm from the top of the fork leg with the spring in. And 7.5wt oil. But fork oil weights are all funny.

    What's wrong with teh starter?

Sweet as I will go with that measurement, i was going to use a torco 10w oil, will that be too heavy?
Pulled the starter apart and it looks like something internal in the ammeture has burnt out, contacts and brushes are fine but it wont spin on a bench test, found one down the line for $70.
Anybody know part number for DID chain and JT sprocket kit?

It is good that you may see the internal part of the starter. I overhaul my own starter too, however, I think it was quite hard to find spare parts for it. In the case of ammeture, I might have to give it a miss. Could you do some more testing according to electric motor specifications, and find the fault of the starter?

$70 as a price tag, in the case that works, not bad i would say.
