    Music for the roads......

Coming in to work this a.m. and getting on the NW Motorway at Western Springs, I was watching all the cagers jockeying for position, all trying to merge at the same time, running over the herringbone lines (illegal I might add) and making my ride an interesting experience, when it struck me that I could put it to music Maybe "Flight of the Bumble Bee".

Now this got me to thinking, can you put other roads to music? Not necessarily busy roads, but good riding roads. Like SH16 to me feels like ACDC's "Let there be rock" as theres a lot of parts that are fairly flowing (for when Bon Scott's in the pulpit in the video saying "Let there be ....., and there was ..."), then a flurry of fast corners (Angus Young in full flight, head banging, guitar licks).

Any others want to put .02c in?

Crossing the harbour bridge between 7am and 9am or 4pm and 6pm?

    Aerosmith's "Walk This Way".
Remember to never split an infinitive. The passive voice should never be used. Do not put statements in the negative form. Proofread carefully to see if you words out. And don't start a sentence with a conjugation. (William Safire)

I don't even try to think about music when on the roads... good music = really good mood = getting faaaar to carried away with overtaking manoeuvres etc.

But mostly techno stuff if I did try to match music

Hmm let's see... Riding out to Raglan I find myself playing Voodoo by Godsmack in my head.

heading out to Tauranga it ranges from South Texas Deathride by Union Underground from the base of the Kaimais on to Tauranga and Cemetary Gates by Pantera from here to the base of the mountains.

I think Ride of the Valkryes by Wagner would get my juices going too But it'd have to be on a big stomping Vtwin

Queen - One Vision, when about to attack a nice twisty well known piece of road.
