Must admit I liked the movie as well, yes I agree they did get worse, and considering its called the "Never Ending Story" then why does each movie have an ending???

perhaps it was meant to be a never ending story, but after the movies kept getting worse they sorta gave up on the idea knowing that it wouldn't be tomatoes after a while

How many was it? 4 or perhaps 3?? Can't really remember.

Too old to be terrified by Neverending Story as a child, had to make do with being terrified by Daleks, Cybermen (their little "cybermats" were even more scary, I recall), Drashigs, Yetis (a la Doctor Who) and the eerie boulders in "Escape Into Night" (based on the Catherine Storr book Marianne Dreams)
