No longtrack racing at the Burt

Ratshit. From the site...............LONGTRACK ANNOUNCEMENT: Due to insufficient entries in most classes, the Ascot Longtrack Club has decided to cancel the NZ Longtrack Champs & GP scheduled for Wednesday 26 November. This was a very difficult decision for the organising committee to make, and unfortunate for the Burt Munro Challenge event.

THE OTHER SIX BURT MUNRO CHALLENGE RACING EVENTS WILL GO AHEAD AS PLANNED.

I knew this was going to happen. Shitloads of sidecars from the north and chch were keen to do the long track and speedway. The local speedway track decided that every single local chair will enter the burt leaving only room for 6 or 7 sidecars from the rest of the country.

The majority of sidecars who have gone down in the past have done the speedway and the long track. Barely any local bikes do the long track though.

No one is going to travel down with their sidecars to just watch the speedway and enter the long track. I can guarantee that at least 10 more sidecars from other tracks would have entered the long track (me included) but entries closed days after opening for the speedway.
