Despite the challenging weather we managed to get through a full programme and great to see lots of smiles in the pits. Huge effort by the marshals who bore the brunt of the weather a big thanks from the club for your efforts. Talking of smiles none were bigger than 14 year old Aaron Lambourne"s, having his 1st meeting he made the podium in r2 . Looking forward to seeing everyone at round 2 in July.

Was she the lass on 5a? Huge round of applause to her - must have been one of the worst spots to be yesterday. It's where my daughter would normally have been, if she hadn't been helping produce her college production.

Yup - that's the one. unusually, the weather was blowing in her face on sunday. Normally it comes from the other way, in which case there is some shelter.
She certainly earned her keep, even with an absence of people falling off there. I hope it didn't put her off.

There is when you duck down and just hold the flag up for the tail enders....

I make a point of giving everyone a proper flourish.

Although I must admit I may have nodded off a couple of times waiting for the back of the classic field to come around...
