Did that - rehab ward at RAF Halton, and elsewhere. The sheer bravery in the face of a prognosis generally not good on so many levels was equal parts uplifting and totally distressing ...
the living, mebbe ... surviving horror must be a huge rush. One of my mates is ex vietnam ... came back badly damaged ... would go back in a flash if able, those were his glory days, everything else has been a let down since then. But I have been trying to focus here on the ones who got their names on the war memorials ... no talking to them
