    New School Classic Project

Comin along nicely. The tank job is hard case with little hand prints on it. Cheers

Looks good LR but you need a less fuzzy camera to catch the brilliance better.

Motor issues at moment. Started coughing and fluttering while riding on way to work (not far from work); similar to running out of petrol and needing to be swapped to reserve. Got about 17k out of the 18k to work before it started doing it. Range of 50, 70, and 100kmph roads.

Died right as I coasted into parking space.

    Seems front cylinder isn't firing.

Cable on front lead came off boot when I went to take boot out of cylinder.

Fucking around with it during my breaks, though not much time to do work on it.

Where we were at last time I posted. Wasn't quite what I wanted so I've done more since.

Took off side stand as the spring stud was worn out. Repaired threads, machined new stud, and welded on.

So that's the bit that scrapes when I go round left hand bends. It's the exhaust on the right hand side 8-)

Did you get this sorted? The petcocks are vacuum controlled, so they turn off when there's no vacuum (like engine not running). I think they can go faulty, and changing it to reserve can diagnose it, as the reserve setting isn't vacuum controlled and the bike will then run ok. A blocked fuel cap vent can also cause it, but doesn't usually go away when you turn to reserve, but will be ok for a few k's after opening the fuel cap and closing.
