    I hate to poo on your parade, but they used to recycle the air through carbon filters.

    Start off with close to 100% oxygen and keep just recycling it with additions of fresh oxygen. Minimal tank supply yadda yadda.

    Imagine the Dutch oven though if you accidentally let one go while in the suit with the helmet on and all?

    Have the valves in the suit been reseated? How about new gaskets??

    But then, that won't fix the bottom end issues ..
