    Mechanic in Hawke's Bay?

Anyone have a recommendation for someone switched-on to see about a WOF for the car? New to Hawkes Bay and don't know of anyone round here. Don't trust VTNZ/VINZ and other such mobs would rather a smaller local outfit that know what they're on about.

I know the manager in VTNZ Hastings well and he's an awesome bloke. He's a better mechanic than most jokers I have met too. He is the most genuine person I have ever met

VTNZ Onekawa (by the Mobil on Taradale rd) are generally good a few guys from the classic club work there too. They are good with bike WOFs as well.

Don't go to the one by supercheap auto/gull petrol closer to town...

My mechanic also does warrants and good honest dealings. go see Malcom at Carlyle Automotive who is now in Austin st onekawa, Napier.
They'll pick up your wagon from home if your too busy to drop off in work hours too.

Cheers for the replies going to give Carlylse Automotive a go. Sounds like the VTNZ shops round here might be an awful lot better than the ones I've had to do with elsewhere
