CTAS Live 1000 - Celebrating 1,000 hours of live streaming

On 8th March, 2015 CTAS Live Streaming turns 1000.

Back in 2010 CTAS started Live Timing. This was a simple product that sent timing data to the internet so that people could follow the NZSBK racing live. This was a great first step, but we soon found that people wanted more, so this was quickly followed by Audio Streaming, and then Video Streaming.

This Live Streaming started as a very low budget system, but quickly grew as we needed better software, hardware, capacity, durability and reliability. This expansion has included additional motorcycle racing events as well as NZSBK, and other sports such as V8Jetsprints and Powerboats.

Based on the planned work for this summer, and the Live Video Streaming since 2010, we have calculated that at 11am on 8th March, we will have Live Streamed for 1000 hours. This happens to coincide with Round 3 of the NZSBK 2015 Series, and so we are going to celebrate this by offering $1000 prize money.

    About Us
CTAS Live is a product of CTAS NZ Ltd. We Live Stream approximately 40 events each year. Live Streaming an event normally includes Live Timing, Chat, Video and Audio, Cameras, Wireless links, Mixing equipment, Internet and Streaming service, plus the provision of recorded races after the event.

We would like to thank the following for their support: Tim Gibbes Track Timing, Wilsport, Barnes Jenkins Insurance, Boyd Motorcycles, Ian Dawson, MNZ, Commentators and all the clubs who run NZSBK rounds.

Thanks for all your hard work Grant, Ctas and live timing is the forward with the sport.

30 mins including adds is a joke for the NZSBK TV coverage

    Too true mate,

The internet is the future for all sport, Just got to get the "Einsteins" on the board at MNZ too recognise that now, TV has its place , But is hugely expensive AND very limited, Completely unacceptable that during edited coverage, The commentator still manages to get machinery and competitors names wrong, Palmerston North speedway use it every night they run and are very heavily subscribed AND they charge $25 per event, The speedway control board have their act together streets in front of the current decision makers at MNZ.

CTAS Live 1000 - Celebrating 1,000 hours of live streaming

We try to focus on the development and growing classes as well, as these include many of the up and coming riders, who get a chance to show their skills, and some value for their sponsors. Plus they can watch the videos after the event, and learn how to improve riding skills.

    Regards,
    Grant
