    Legally parked or not?

We have a law enforcment officer who regularly parks in a temporary 70kmh road works area.

The only problem is there isn't really enough room for him to get off the road completely, but that doesn't seem to matter to him as he parks there during the day and night.

Is it legal (and safe) for him to be parked in a marked turning lane?

Not sure about legal but he would cop some publicity if it caused a crash.
I think one got hit near the Terrace Tunnel wellywood a few years back parked in the cold shoulder.

To me its not a good idea.

its probably just one of scumdogs mate preventing speedsters from getting killed.

Parking like a fuckwit on the other side is obviously something this geezer gets paid for.

So I guess as long as the geezer is in uniform he is on the job and it is necessary for him to park there.

Didn't you know some LEOs take the view that in order to uphold the law they're entitled to bend it a little?

Maybe it's just me, but if this is at the top of the list of concerns for the OP, life must be good

If I was the STMS on that worksite I'd be having strong words with him, Rozzer or not.

The car should not be blocking the lane like that.

    He is creating a hazard.

It may, or may not, be legal.

    It IS piss poor parking.

( And it is not a good look )

Come on KL, he has to enforce the 70kmh limit and where else is he to park to do this. You know travelling in excess of the limit kills more people than sudden stops from hitting hard stationary objects unexpectedly in their path.
Love the way people are all over the road through there, you don't get a clear view to the left or right on the slight bend. Used that slip lane in heavy traffic this evening to get go juice, glad he wasn't there then or he might now be minus a drivers mirror.
