Anyone in Chch able to look at a Hiace for me?

    Interested in this: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...x?id=811297976

Unfortunately, I can't exactly pop by with it 1000km away (tempting, but a bit time poor). Anyone familiar with the latest shape and able to give it a once over? Mobile mechanics also welcome. They're reliable beasts, but previous inspections of vans have found rust, accident damage badly repaired (with crap paintwork that doesn't match the rest) and a fucked rear diff... Need to know I'm not buying a ticking timebomb... Dealer admitted that he struggles to get them listed on TM, so couldn't email me higher res pics either (what he did have was on TM - and he did manage to list it twice to boot).

Remuneration in whatever form suits you Dealer would be open tomorrow 9am to 2pm, otherwise next week is fine as well.

Nah, I'd been speaking to him a few minutes prior. He listed it twice, because I'd been asking what was going on with the same information notice in multiple auctions, was it a mistake, was there actually two vans etc. He didn't understand until I pointed out both listings so he's probably pulled one.

I'm not in chch but I can look out the window at one.

OK I'll bestow a long held secret. If you tie some wire or strap inside the driver door hand slot you can use that to close the door. Then fill the slot with some foam. That makes a good arm rest for your elbow. You'll see what I mean.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
