Where/how to buy Renthal road bars?

Does anyone know where I can get a set of Renthal Ultra Low bars from? No one in NZ seems to stock these, and it seems to be another case of a lazy/unhelpful distributor who simply doesn’t bring in enough stock.
I would take them in black, silver, grey or titanium, though would prefer titanium.
I phoned Cycletreads about 3 weeks ago and the guy told me they were on order and he’d phone me back in a week or so, but never did. This morning I noticed their website was finally showing them in stock, so I ordered them only to get a phone call to let me know they’re NOT in stock and won’t be for several more weeks.

Unless you're lucky enough to strike some random place that has stock, I bet most will be ordering as required from the distributor.

We've ordered bars through Botany Honda several times, possibly they ordered from distributor, but could be worth trying...

I just got off the phone with a gent from Moto City, our local Suzuki dealer in Tauranga. Everything Renthal is sold through a distributor called Northern Accessories who apparently doesn’t have much interest in customer service. Even the guy I was talking to has been waiting weeks for sprockets, bars and other things for their sponsored MX race team which they need by Boxing (he didn’t seem optimistic).

Bars ordered now will likely be on back order for several weeks, no matter who I order through.

As much as I try to keep things local, I’m going to be able to get a set of bars this year. I may as well order through Amazon etc and get them for half the price faster.

Edit: just had a call back from the lovely Dianne (or was it Dianna?) at Cycletreads, she went through the stock room and found exactly the bar I wanted (ultra low titanium). It appears the person I spoke to weeks ago did put it on order, but didn’t record my details correctly. Either way, it’s in the post now.

My local Honda dealer got a set of Renthal road bars for me overnight. The woman at the Renthal agent, whoever they were, was brilliant. The order was phoned through late in the day and she raced around to get the bars on a courier that was due within a few minutes.

Just fitted mine as well. There are so many bends and styles and colours that no one has them in stock unless it is dead common. I put KTM 450 bars on my bike which is a 827-01. Only available in Orange at present unless you wait for another import lot. Which may or may not have the ones you want. A lot of research goes into getting the right bend and type so lucky me, found a second hand black pair on TM. Lick of paint and we're in business!

These people are very good - I've had no problem getting parts from them at all ... for international orders they will e-mail you to check the total price, because of the shipping costs ..

I got my last couple pair offshore for the very reasons you state.

Denniskirk.com stock them as do heaps of US sellers. Also had a set from the UK. Work out the best exchange rate including shipping and they turn up in a week or less!
