    CBR150 motors

Anyone out there know anything interesting about the CBR150 twin cam water cooled motor? What are they worth? Can they be made to make reliable power? Were they ever produced fuel injected like the smaller CBR125 motor? Can you get parts for them? Any for sale in NZ? Who is using them in a bucket racer? How do they compare to the FXR? Anyother comments smart or otherwise?
    Cheers.

Man you are behind the times, see 2012 GP results to answer half the questions above.
Compared to an FXR well - shorter stroke, large valves, better port layout, fuel injected, water cooled need I go on. Theres a few kicking around in NZ, I've heard of them being picked up for as little as $1500, that said they are under $3000NZ brand new in India!

The 1012 CBR150 is fuel Injected and both the 1012 125 and 150 were brought out with longer swing arms and wider rims (Adrian who races buckets in Wgtn imported them for his CBR bucket).

I have gone down the path of turning the 125 (starting 3years ago) into a 150 mainly because of the fuel injection with some promising results. PM me if you want to know more.
Yes 4 strokes are for homos. Homo-sapiens that is, who have realized bigger is better.

Hi Jason I belive it would be a good starting point to get some more longer lasting power than an FXR. Being water cooled and all. Nick Cane or Alistar Hoogie said at one GP that his gearbox was playing up. That thought didnt sound good to me. I havnt seen one for a good price so have stuck to the old FXR.

By far the best standard engine I have experience form a subjective riding test point of view.
Heaps of power over a long range and real meaty.

I was starting all over again I'd start with on of these engines.

    The 125 is shit.

What he said. From stock they are really strong engine for sure. Not seen a super worked one yet but it won't be long I am sure. I thinks Nicks one had a good tickle up. But nothing crazy. Anyone know what they weigh in at?
