    Lack of reason?

Coincidence that there's been zero reasons to be cheerful since the last election?

    I think not...

It’s a beautifully wet day here, good for keeping riff raff teens off the street and good excuse to do nothing more than admire the engineering beauty of tools and bikes in mancave.

Yes I do appreciate it when visiting pussy whipped mates who have women crap like washing machines/dryers and storage boxes cluttering available space.
One of my recent visitors said I own too many bikes, there only four you should see my mates place lol

Been a gorgeous day. Out on Trials bike at bottom of Transmission Gully. Have been injured 7 weeks ago but my shoulder held up all day and I completed all the sections 4 rounds.

Need to work on my fitness after 7 weeks off but that will come back..

Also my favourite wife. . . Ok only. . . Is back from girls weekend happy so I have some credit there.

Dinner will be a small butterflied lamb sections with capsicum and roast potatoes, maybe salad. Some wine then.
Beer is going down well now.

Its a wonderful day. Its a wonderful life.

I'm off to Tassie in a couple of days, part of an informal agreement with my brother in law whereby we go steal each others toys occasionally.

So I'll be living on a large cruising yacht berthed in Hobart marina in order to explore something called Dark Mofo which is spread out over the Hobart waterfront.

And then I'll be stealing his CB450 for a day or two to explore a bit further afield. Weather depending.

Happy enough with that for now.

Just finished looking at insurance options for the old motorbikes, and found one that knocks $500/year of the cost for both. I was looking at getting rid of one, but that actually covers the bills for it for a year, so maybe it might get to stay a bit longer

The old car is off to the garage to get brakes sorted today, so that should be wof/reg happy on the road shortly.

If the weather plays ball and the car is sorted, I might be able to take a different vehicle to work every day next week, after all they say variety is the spice of life.
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

    They can ban IC engines.
They can put all sorts of limits on batteries & motors.
They can put Motor Sport insurance cost through the roof.
    But they can't ban Gravity!

By 2030, electric vehicles — including both fully electric and plug-in hybrid models — could make up 35 percent of new vehicle sales globally, according to a forecast included in the International Energy Agency's annual Global EV Outlook report released last week.

    So 65% won't be...

Long story short - Went to work for a Payrise (long overdue and shit is way more expensive), didn't get much of a response.
Dipped toe in job market, nearly got foot bitten off.
Went back to work with written Job Offers - asked them to match or better it - no dice.
Handed in resignation, accepted Job Offer.
    30% pay rise.

I'm feeling a bit more cheery.
