If Australia or any of the near Pacific Islands were invaded I'd have very little problem with the idea of offering our support to them.

I certainly don't believe we should support any interference into the governance of countries further afield. Especially if the motives are of a questionable nature.

America would be one of the most war-mongering nations in the world. Personally, I think we should consider cutting all ties to them.

Being "allied" to the US is very quickly becoming a zero-sum game. The net effect of the US on NZ has been incredibly negative.

As a result, we now direct market our capital on the world's financial markets and allow corporates and individuals to buy the only asset a primary produce nation has.
