I bet he was pissed off, dying just before Christmas dinner.

Not sure if he didn't make it to Christmas.

I feel sorry for the poor bastard that had to dig the grave. Would have been a big hole.

Why? They use a back hoe these days.
I'd be more gutted for the pall bearers.
Or the poor bugger who has to dismember him if he wanted to be cremated. The crematoriums are normally only equipped to take pieces the size of a standard large coffin.

I can see why some might think so, but I don't think this is a win for the PC Brigade. They will own the outcome of their personal philosophy.

    ***

Quite a few years ago, riding through South Carolina in late summer, when the weather unseasonably changed for the worse & I was running out of gas, I pulled over at a biker bar / gas station where the ambience was distinctly "Deliverance" / banjo territory. But, the hospitality was welcoming and immediately friendly, and the bartender sold me his waterproofs; which worked very well all the way to Key West and back to LA - and which I have kept ever since and used more than once. They're called 'Frogg Toggs'...

Behind the bar there was a sign that I have long remembered

    Live your own life

Because you will die your own death

    Words to ride by...

Seven years later, I went there again on a ride from the West Coast to Raleigh and Savannah. Because of the names...

The bar was closed, the bartender hopefully tending new pastures. but the message resonates...

In the end, we pay for what we do. Or what we don't do.

That is all... I wish for you and yours to have a great 2016.
