What did the dealer describe the dresser as?
What's important is that you'll have a very happy wife - it is a nice piece of furniture.
Yes, single storey houses in England are generally called bungalows...
However, the word's origins are Indian - Hindi and Gujarati for a single storey dwelling... and the style in NZ is copied from the style in vogue in California, particularly Los Angeles, after the First World War and were built during the 1920s and into the 1930s...
Today's bit of useless information...

Be the person your dog thinks you are...
The circular mirror and lead light glass make it a stylish object - a step above those with either square or oblong mirrors.
I'd hazard a guess that is was once part of a dining room suite, possibly matching table and chairs somewhere...
Big John in Dunners is knocking them out at $499.99 at the moment, might get a discount on Boxing Day? He took four of them in a van up to Oamaru last week. Faux Welsh dresser, you can tell by the untreated pine on the panel at the back of the drawer. Failing that, the other way of testing is by smashing the mirror and looking at the way they treated the back of the glass.
Train looks like a calendar btw.
Nice work.

Tend to think husaberg in correct period - possible it was made as one-off piece or dining room suite by cabinet maker for someone with a bit of money along the art nouveau / arts and crafts styles... if it was made to order then made to suit purchaser even if it may have been considered out-of-date when made - could easily be 100 years old. I think I'd pay that for it... what's the back of it like? - should be tongue and grove rather than ply.
As for the felt lined drawer - cutlery drawer... does it have a knife rack in the drawer?
