Bike's running fine, been riding along the back roads, done only 117kms of riding and practice. Riding along kelston and these cunts think its funny to drive real close to me and tailgate me even when im doing 50 - 60

All defensive driving courses and tests resume from today, so i'm going to book one in asap and get my learners.

I'm fine with riding alone but get somewhat nervous near other cars, also having trouble finding neutral, maybe I need to count the gears as I go up and down. (thoughts?)
I just stop & do my best to refrain from having conversations with people that ain't in my lane

    Will do!

Also need to get some gear as well, looking on trademe for a some nice looking Orina leather jacket and pants, most likely will move onto buying a sports bike instead of a cruiser.

I find that tailgaiting can be minimised by positioning yourself exactly in front of driver behind you.....
I.e try to block his view as it were.....
dont let him/her see ahead past you.
use your mirrors and adjust your position as he changes his....
after a few wriggles like that they almost always fall further back...

for the very persitent tailgaiters (always either some asian imports or testosterone riddled females) there are other ways of showing your displeasure...

mind you being big and ugly on large bike helps....
Opinions are like arseholes: Everybody has got one, but that doesn't mean you got to air it in public all the time....

Agreed. Guess you could call it owning your lane. Ive had 2 people try to take my lane up the inside. Both have been in SUVs. It ended badly for both.

Yeah dude, no one wants to fuck with someone who is obviously going through nicotine withdrawals.
