The wrecker probably has the bits to fix it and sell it on. I would jump at the offer and move on.

More likely the wrecker has a buyer in mind for the good parts it does have. I (also) would jump at the offer and move on.

Please don't start him up again. I even have PMs asking is a fair price and I had to advise him idd be after 1200+ maybe 2k from the wrecker.
Your just confusing the OP with such a low figure for his one lady owner well looked after gsx.

I'd buy it for $800, make it a Hori naked bike and use a wreckers to fix essential parts, probs cost close to $2000 all up, not including labour, then sell it for $1500 and lose $500

Tell you what, $1200 and I'll throw in a scratched helmet, a jacket with a hole in it and a bag of chips (expired but still slightly crunchy).

    Motorcycle ownership advise.
Irrespective of what you pay for your pride and joy, it's current value is zero dollars.

    It isn't an investment, it's a liability.

When you view it this way, it's not so hard to be told that your pride and joy is someone else's worthless POS.
