Fat Bikers Hit the 'Naki - Saturday 7 February 2015

You are all welcome to join the Fat Bikers as we celebrate our 5th Birthday at our annual FATOI, this year in New Plymouth.

Yes indeed folks, if you fancy a ride and a feed then come along with clean undies, a loose belt and a full tank of gas.

So, put that pie down, kick the farm animals out and brace yourself, here's the deal you sexy beasts....

    Meeting Time 9.00am

Where? The Deluxe Diner, 36 Leach Street, New Plymouth. We will be scoffing some brekkie here so keep your bowels empty and have your rusty greased.

Once we are fed, watered, burped, farted and ‘evacuated’ it will then be time to saddle up and hit the
    road.

We have a ride planned which is all up aboutt three hours road time plus a lunch stop in between taking in some of the sights, sounds and smells of the Naki. Now as we all know there are many
things that can change on the day (apart from my undies and bad guts) so the exact route will be sorted at brekkie.

Needless to say we will be riding along some of the most picturesque and amazing roads NZ has to offer and there will be plenty of opportunity for photo and gas stops along the way.

Pace wise this will be, as all FBMC rides are, cruisy and enjoyable. Its not a track meet or a race, its an opportunity to ride as a group and enjoy the freedom and beauty of the road. If anyone does feel like breaking off and going for a blat then that’s cool too, we will meet you along the way somewhere. If you get lost however, then that’s your problem and something we will laugh and laugh at (and something you may very well get fined for….).

Hang on, im getting peckish, must be lunchtime…..

    Lunch

By now we will all be fading away into our leathers so its time to stop and fill up the gut tank again.

We are booked into the Treehouse Bar in New Plymouth at 1pm for a feed. It’s a great looking venue and they are looking forward to hosting us. The main menu on their website and they also do bar snacks as well if a full lunch is not putting the jam in your doughnut. Check out what they have to offer on their website which is http://treehousebar.co.nz/

The plan is to have a nice leisurely lunch to recharge the batteries for the evening get together.

    Fatoi 2015 social

For those of you that fancy it we will be having a social get together at FBMC FATOI HQ which is the Top 10 Holiday park in New Plymouth. Time for some dinner, some boozing, some laughing and some joking….yes indeed it’s the FATOI birthday bash social.

Grub will be a bar b of sorts (chip in for the food) and bring your own booze

Same as previous years, we get together and enjoy each other’s company and wind down after a long day doing the FATOI thing. This year, however, the FBMC are introducing a new element of fun, frivolity and downright embarrassment in the shape of the Fat Bikers Fines.

Yes indeed, Lippy our Sherriff for the day will be seeing and watching all over the course of the last 36 hours and will have the notebook crammed with your most obvious (and not so obvious) faux pa’s, mistakes, oppsies and down right balls ups. These will be mercilessly shared with the rest of us and, just to rub it in hard and slippery, cost you a gold coin.

Although you may have the opportunity to appeal, Lippy has the final call so make sure you have some spare change with you. All the money collected in fines will be given to a worthy cause which we can decide on the night.

And then, its time for the annual Fatt Max awards. This year no expense has been spared with the quality and size of the medals on offer. There are 5 to be won and anyone can be a winner. Bribery, all though not allowed, is certainly encouraged if you want to get your pinkies on some fine FBMC bling.

Drinks done, food eaten, piss taken and big sloppy snogs all round and thats it done, another FATOI all over with

Be great to see you, clothing is optional....

    Sure is matey.
Plenty of stops and a cruisy pace, so no dramas for anyone wishing to tag along.

Thought I'd do Ngaruawahia to Te Kuiti then peel off and come back. Not working Friday but am working Saturday.

Now then, just a little change to the plan next Saturday. Due to a an Ironman event taking place in the New Plymouth area the Fat Bikers are insisting that ALL members attending this year's FATOI are to wear nothing but Lycra and speedo's....

Just kidding, dont head down to Rebel Sports just yet.

What it means is our lunch venue is now changed to the Stumble Inn located at 198 Mangorei Rd,Merrilands, New Plymouth .

Same sort of time (1-ish) for arrival and the menu is attached for your per-musement.....

All done, see you next weekend
