But if it's not one that you'd be comfortable relating to the person in question (which I doubt you would), then to come on here and make a smutty little story of it smacks of immaturity and a total lack of respect.

Nail on the head really, why get offended when you can laugh instead. Unfortunatly there seems to be a third option, of getting smacked upside the head (figuratively or literally), hence fat jokes about ones female friends are not a good idea. Religious ones tend to 'bomb' a bit too but that depends largely on your circle of friends. Actually, reminds me of a good one I heard recently.
