The thing that confuses me about the Green party, is that they want to keep the place as tidy as possible, yet seem to believe that that can be accomplished using some form of financial economy. Simply not compatible. Never have been, never will be. Would the Greens really lose support if they shifted their policy towards a more Resource Based Economy approach to delivering a planet centric economic model?

The media and their shadowy backers are promoting Labour/Little/etc again currently as hard as they dare!

National has had three terms - media say it's time for Labour again!

New Zealand will obey - the Phoenix party will be victorious _ then from the cocoon the butterfly will emerge - arise Sir John!

Meanwhile back in New Zealand whats in it for the voters -

    not so sure about that

personal issues are an investigation by police other than his mates up norf etc. etc. etc.

there are only so many crimes that would warrant a blanket name supression and I am sure our resident blueberry muffins could enlighten us to what that would be.

National...the gift that keeps on giving. But yeah...Norman Russell resigned after 9 years of Co-leadership with the greens.....thats the story of the day.

Indeed, on the whole it does as well - except the ABC actually keeps some measure of independence and is not afraid of airing programmes that may offend the government - which is why the dicks in charge are trying to slash their budget, put in advertising and make their profitable sections available for potential sale to their mates....At least people over here have taken a dislike to the mad monk and his bunch of wierdoes in parliament and his popularity rating is going through the floor.....or maybe he just offended Rupert, so, he's for the chop.

Which is contrary to the pre-election televised 'opinions' where his JKship seemed to be all over breakfast news 3 times a week and the rest of the parties barely got a look in. There seemed very few 'hard' questions to be answered, almost as though it was scripted...

Of course, National are in so no longer really care what the pundits opinions are.

That's strange. The election I watched had "dirty politics" morning, noon and night. Was that part of the script?

The allegations appear to be some sort of assault .. and fairly serious

Depending on the seriousness of the charges, if found guilty he might not be able to be in parliament.

Police have been investigating an assault complaint against government MP Mike Sabin.
Woodlice blogger has also commented ...

Slater however did provide two very important but ever so subtle clues, insights which indicated to us here at LF that Slater himself was certainly aware of the nature and seriousness of the allegations that Sabin is now facing by noting that the alleged assault was “repeat offending“ and “almost too horrible for words“:
