I had a similar issue recently and ended up using Ross Galt locksmiths. Excellent service, and while sort of expensive, worth it for the peace of mind.

Thanks for all the offers of help guys awesome.Car turned up on Lincoln rd left with all the windows down and no key, outside was ok but covered in mud inside was a fucking messsome piece of shit had chundered in the thing etc etc and mud everywhere, all her personal stuff gone but to be expected,my uncle drove the thing back to the old girls and reckons it drives fine which is a relief.Locks have been changed on the house and insurance company also coming to the party with getting ignition changed in the car etc etc.Can anyone recommend a good car groomer in Christchurch even perhaps one that will go to her..she wants the thing given the once over top to bottom. All in all could have been worse and can only hope the piece of shit responsible suffers an apt fate down the line somewhere ie a cancer that drags on for 6 months or so causing him intolerable pain and suffering.
