Lol. Yep. Fantastic old things really. An FZR1000 is prob the better bike...but they just don't have the same appeal to me having owned a few of each. And nah...but it could put me behind bars if I'm not careful.

I had an FZR1000, the last one before exup. It was bland and did nothing exciting. My 1986 (or was it 1987) GSXR1100 was and still is a much better bike to own.

I think the FZR1000T is def a better bike that the GSXR1100G...but pride of ownership and the fun factor of the GSXR are far greater to me. So I'm happy as a sandboy. Both need another gear though!

For performance and value, the FZR1000 destroys the Gixxer in every way...I'd still have the Gixxer.

I remember thinking that of the GSXR but don't recall it being an issue on the Jamajar.

Only boys ride FZRs. Real men put busa conrods in Gixxer motors.

The five speed lets them down on the track, having to use first gear after ya leave the line kills lap times on all those old boxes.

How do different rods make a difference, unless one changes the stroke at the same time?

Its French for the FZR is a nice track bike but idd rather own a Hot Rod Gixxer as a road bike. Very easy to build a big powerful gsxr. Very limited engine mods for FZR.

Yeah, the early oil burner Gixxer can get massive cams and 1340 kits on standard barrels.

I threw three of them out when they didn't fit the RF. I need a six speed from a WP or newer 750 pre SRAD.

My FZR had power but it was in revs you wouldn't ride on the road. FZRs tend to tune and sacrifice usability for peak power when you can lift the GSXR torque and hp everywhere at the same time.
