    Sidi Vertigo sole replacement?

    Hi,

    Well my Sidi Vertigo boot sole has finally given up. Since the boots are in good condition, I am loathed to buy another pair for the sake of a sole. Does anyone know if you can buy the replacement soles in NZ? Also, anyone know the best place to get replacement zips sewn into the boots??

    Cheers

    St Kevin's Arcade. Down the steps and on the right hand side.
    Not sure about the soles. Have a chat with the lady there.

    If you can get replacement soles then go and talk to Col the Cobbler - take all my shoe repairs to him and have always been totally satisfied with his work... Just had Col re-glue the soles on my Rev'it boots - same as you: plenty of life left in the boots, just the soles parting company!

    Been thinking about the same thing myself.

    So far came up with this guy;
    http://www.shanes.co.nz/motocross-boot-repairs.html

    Haven't used him, or even contacted them yet about my SIDI's, but the page does say he does road boots as well.

    I have also used Gemmells on Symond street to resole my Sidi boots. http://www.gemmells.co.nz/

    They were able to put outdoor non slip type sole onto the boot, and that was 4+ years ago. Still using it and has not failed.

    I have just had mine done by these guys, there was some drama and it took awhile to sort. There was some confusion from one of the staff regarding if they did the Sidi road boots, and they had to source the soles from the states. To their credit they did an awesome job and didn't charge me more than the initial quote as it was their cock up.

    But good news for you guys, I found out where they sourced the soles from. If you supply them (they don't stock them as the soles are size specific and they don't do enough to justify stocking every size), they will fit them.

    they are available here http://www.revzilla.com/sidi-boots#v...atured&tab=all

    Funny, just got mine back today and was about to post an update

    Yeah I had to order the soles in too, but this was covered in the initial email enquiry.
    Shanes offered the same Revzilla source as above, but i got mine from... http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...nd-blade-boots

    Good quick turnaround via courier, and definitely much better quality than my original ADOS repair!
