Sounds about right to me. And it doesn't sound stupid, because I don't actually know for sure either.

Google yourself up a wiring diagram for an AG100, simple.

No,black is not earth for Japanese wiring, they use a colour code system that makes no sense at all.If it has one wire that will come from whatever triggers the coil,if it has two,one will go to the kill switch....trace the kill switch wire to elimenate that one.

Nah shes only got one its going to be mounted to a ts185 cdi unit on an ax100 motor so youve got a mix of bikes just in the ignition system itself dont get me started on the chassis

Ok getting back to this its for a bucket racer so any advice on advice on building a 2 smoke cdi race loom unit would be grateful

The coil isn't earthed, that's what the kill switch does.

If youre doing what I think you're doing you'll be better dumping the charging system and keeping the battery

    Hiya,
On my A100 bucket there is very little wiring.
From behind the flywheel (haven't had to take it off yet) there comes out a black wire, from there it goes to the coil, then to the spark plug, and as far as i know earth return. I just put an on/off switch in between.
Althought this probably doesn't help much because as i understand it the AX100 is quite a step up in technology from the A100, Electronic ignition etc.

Yo its not that its I have the wrong sorta coil for the motor I need a CDI Ignition coil not a Points Ignition coil cause on a CDI coil it has a Wire telling the CDI when to spark a points motor does not they just spark off the flywheel turning. I am going to mill the flywheel down in size to make it lighter add a race wiring loom no lights etc a simple loom add an aprillia RS50 expansion chamber and tail pipe add the motor into a RS50 chassis and race it but if anyone has a coil for a CDI Ignition motor it would be much appreciated

Good luck about milling down the flywheel - don't thank too much off as it will magnetic pickups. - which then won't produce the correct output voltage to power the cdi and so on.

Got the wiring wrong see the my last post found all the correct info.
