    it rained one morning, they delayed the rqces till it cleared, a lot of riders don't even bother to take wets, they won't race in the wet as there's a lot of oil and deisel from the trucks on the front staight that would surface.

    sensible decision, that track is to fast in case of shit happening for potentual dissasters with the spectators being so close

    So me mates went to ulysses westpac charity ride 400-500 bikes and hello pamplets promoting Paeroa handed out to all attending. Take my hat of to the organisers very good promotion - roll on next week

    Stay in Waihi Beach. For example the holiday park. It's quiet, close to the beach (who would have thought... ) and in the morning you can ride/drive the beautiful windy road along the Karangahake Gorge. Google said it's 28 minutes away from Paeroa.

    Forgot Paeroa is on. Is it February already? Must have missed that with all the noise of my deadlines whooshing past...I'd better book my accomodation, too.

    The footy club does campsites for a minimal fee. $5 a night includes Showers etc. Last time I went anyway.

    Have you tried this one...."orsome" little pub,only 10 mins from Paeroa....and I see it's not mentioned in Paeroa's list off accommodation.
